The short version
Flowly is a read-only news aggregator. We fetch public RSS feeds and display them. We do not sell your data, track you across the web, or show you ads.
In beta, most features work without an account. When you use account features, we may collect:
We also collect standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and debugging. These are not linked to your account and are purged periodically.
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.
We use a single session cookie for authentication. Your feed preferences ("My Sources", dark/light mode) are stored in your browser's localStorage only — they never leave your device.
Flowly displays article thumbnails and text excerpts fetched from third-party RSS feeds. Those publishers have their own privacy policies. When you click an article link you leave Flowly and the publisher's policy applies.
Flowly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
You may request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing contact@rupokri.ca with the subject line Account Deletion Request. We will process your request within 14 days.
During the beta period, data may be reset as part of database migrations. We will announce this in advance where possible.
We will update this policy as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
